Do what you love and when you do what you love – it changes the whole thing. Lochlan Howard took up Irish step dancing at around age 7, inspired by his sister Brooke and the environment of The Academy Irish Dance in Ohio.

He made his breakthrough in 2015, after 3 years of dancing, when he placed second at the World Championships. In 2016, he secured his first world title and has continued to dominate ever since. His dedication and persistence gave him everything that he deserved. People often tag someone who succeeds as “Lucky”, but it's their hard work behind all the scenes. Lochlan Howard regularly performed at the Dublin Irish Festival from age 12 onwards.

Despite being focused on his competitions, he also held a strong academic performance by staying in communication with his teachers.

His major dream came true when he joined a dance show called Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance- an ambition fueled by his experience of learning routines from the company’s lead and performing them at festivals. Mentors like Byron Tuttle and Edward Searle are in need, who instilled discipline, structure, clarity, motivation and stand tall like a pillar to give them support.

He has a “Feet of Fire”: From the debut in 2015, where he secured 2nd place and from 2016-2023at World level, he secured first place. If you watch his performance, you want a question. How? It's mesmerizing and awe-striking. You can see perfection, and calmness in his act of performance.

Lochlan Howard's journey in dance shows dedication, hunger to be the best, hard work, great management of overall aspects of life and things beyond determination. In the competitive dance world, he has maintained his peak performance with his versatility and adaptation.
